Gas Turbine Development

Sweden has a large number of gas turbines used for district heating production and as backup units for disruptions in production. In the future Sweden will have a larger share of weather-dependent electricity production, these facilities will then be an important part of a flexible electricity system both as power reserve and as a disturbance reserve.

This is a three-year technology monitoring project, where we monitor technological development and highlight issues that increase knowledge of gas turbines and circuits. It is about gaining experience and raising competence of both users and clients. A number of seminars are to be arranged within the project.
