Annual Nuclear Conference 2027

Together with leading experts, decision-makers and industry representatives whose work is shaping the future of nuclear energy in the Nordics, we will explore how the industry can benefit from lessons learned in previous and ongoing projects, and how these insights can support future initiatives.

The conference will include a networking dinner on January 13th – an excellent opportunity to continue the discussions and strengthen connections across the industry.

The event is arranged by Energiforsk and Swedenergy. Whether you work in research, technology, operations, project development or policy, you will gain fresh perspectives, valuable insights, and opportunities to network with colleagues from the industry.

The conference programme will focus on three main themes:

• Lessons from Nordic projects in the entire nuclear life cycle: We will investigate how the conditions for delivering successful projects have evolved throughout the years. What lessons can be drawn from past experiences, and what has changed for future projects?

• Lessons from ongoing nuclear projects around the world: What insights are emerging from international initiatives, and how can the Nordic nuclear sector benefit from the experiences of projects in North America, Europe and beyond?

• Lessons from outside the nuclear industry: What can the nuclear sector learn from other industries facing similar challenges, such as large-scale infrastructure development, long planning horizons and changing security requirements? We will, for example, hear perspectives from the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarmakten).
