Wind Power Industry Network – Reporting Completed

Between 2018 and 2022, Vindforsk was an industry network that gathered and disseminated knowledge, as well as facilitated industry collaboration in research projects.
Vindforsk 2018

The programme had four purposes:

  1. Encourage collaboration between industry and academia

  2. Follow the latest developments

  3. Spread knowledge

  4. Perform studies and analyses.

The reports below are from the earlier phase of Vindforsk, which ran from 2013 to 2018.

    Bayesian Methods for Preventive Maintenance

The context of this research is about the simple idea of assessing the optimal time for preventive maintenance based on available information to us from SCADA data of wind turbines. The approach is quantitative, measurable and repeatable. As a result, the contexts of these results belong in reliability and safety engineering and preventive maintenance of wind turbines.

Analysis of Vacuum Breaker Generated Transients in a 36kV Wind Farm Cable Grid

In this project it is investigated how the high frequency transients (HF) in a cable grid influence connected equipment. Both generation and propagation as well as protection is studied.

    Wind Power In Forests II

Sweden has good conditions for wind power. However, most of Sweden (ca. 70%) is covered by forest. Forests decrease wind speeds and create turbulence, something which is not favourable for wind power.
