Grid Interaction with Nuclear Power Plant Operations, GINO
The GINO research programme investigates how events and disturbances in the electricity grid affect the various components of a nuclear power plant.
The purpose is to create a holistic view of the interactions between the external grid and a nuclear power plant. The research will also investigate various specific technical issues concerning the influence from the grid.
Communication and dissemination of results from the research is carried out in English.
I’m the Head of Nuclear Research and oversee six of our programs: Concrete, Outlook & Technology, ENSRIC (I&C), Vibrations, Gino (interaction between nuclear power and the grid), and Polymeric Materials. I also serve as the program council lead for the Swedish Centre for Sustainable Hydropower (SVC). Throughout my career as a project manager, I’ve moved between the construction and energy sectors, focusing on hydropower, nuclear power, and public buildings for culture and sports. It’s important to me that my work contributes to society and benefits others. I’ve lived in Stockholm for many years, but I’ll always be a Dalsland native at heart.
