Summary Report – Nuclear Projects 2025

The Energiforsk Nuclear Portfolio consists of seven different R&D programs: Nuclear power concrete technology, Nuclear power outlook & technology development, Energiforsk nuclear saftey related I&C, ENSRIC, Grid interaction with nuclear power plant operations, GINO, Vibrations in nuclear applications, Polymeric materials in nuclear applications and Digitalisation in nuclear power.
The introductions on project reports include information on:
General background on the purpose of the study
Why the issue is important for nuclear power plants
Results and conclusions.
The complete reports can be found on the respective program web page, see above.

Gap formation between steel liner and cylinder wall in reactor containment buildings
The reactor containment building is the most important safety barrier in a nuclear power plant. It is a cylindrical, prestressed concrete structure with an embedded steel liner on the inner face of the containment wall, designed to maintain integrity in the event of an internal accident.
