ProScale Assessment Within LCA on Utility Poles

This report describes how the ProScale methodology was used for evaluating the human toxicity for three types of utility poles. The evaluation of ProScale constituted one half of a project where utility poles were assessed; the other half of the project was a thorough life cycle assessment that can be found in the Energiforsk report Livscykelanalys av ledningsstolpar, that is available in Swedish.
The assessment shows that ProScale is a useful tool for inclusion in LCA studies and can be used as a complement to other methods for evaluating human toxicity.
The project was funded by Energiforsk and SIVL and was carried out by IVL.
