The webinar will be based on a new report analysing the differences between the European Seismic Hazard Model 2013 (ESHM13) and the updated 2020 version (ESHM20). Find the report here.

The ESH models unify seismic hazard estimation across Europe and lay the foundations for assessing earthquake risk to society. The modes use probabilistic methods to estimate ground shaking from natural earthquakes.

Sweden and Finland, though low in seismic activity, benefit from these models. However, data from these countries are limited because the models focus on earthquakes of magnitude 3.5 or higher.
