Nordisk turbinspecifikation för vattenkraft

The purpose of the work with Nordic Turbine Technical Requirements (NTTR) is to develop a common technical specification for new water turbines used by the Nordic power companies.
programbild nordisk turbinspecifikation

This common specification aims to:

  • Harmonize requirements: By agreeing on common technical requirements, power companies can streamline their internal procurement processes and facilitate comparisons between different suppliers.

  • Reduce uncertainties: By clarifying requirements and expectations at an early stage, the risk of misunderstandings and delays during the project is reduced.

  • Achieve cost efficiency: Unified requirements can lead to economies of scale and lower prices from suppliers.

  • Foster innovation: By collaborating on technical requirements, power companies can better equip suppliers to develop new, innovative solutions.

  • The NTTR specification is intended to be used for new turbines and turbine components, and it is not intended to cover all types of renovations or refurbished components.

  • The structure of the technical specification for the NTTR is based on the IEC61366.

  • The main focus is new turbines, however, since most projects will be refurbishments, there will be some sections included in the NTTR that is missing in the IEC61366, i.e:

  • Fingerprint, measurements before dismantling

  • The guide will at least initially focus on Kaplan and Francis units.

On this page the parts of the specification will be published as they have been produced.
