Pipe Vibrations in Nuclear Applications
| 2017:451 | Mikko Merikoski
“Pipe Vibrations – Analysis and Mitigation” focuses on detection, analysis and mitigation of pipe vibration problems in nuclear power plants. Quick detection of and reaction to a pipe vibration problem cuts down the risk of failures and reduces the downtime.

To reduce the time needed for solving pipe vibration problems, a holistic study of the field of pipe vibrations was performed in this project. The report was constructed as a handbook for solving pipe vibration problems, which can be used without expertise in the area. In addition, DIAM-Matrix tool (Detection, Investigation, Analysis and Mitigation) was developed to simplify the troubleshooting.
