Deformationer och töjningar resulterande av håltagning i reaktorinneslutning på Ringhals 2

This study was conducted to measure and evaluate strains and deformations in the Ringhals 2 reactor containment associated with prestressing tendon release and concrete openings. The objective was to improve understanding of structural response under such interventions.
The results show that tendon release, particularly of horizontal tendons, significantly affected measured strains, while temperature variations strongly influenced both strains and deformations. The study concludes that temperature effects are critical and should be addressed through combined measurements and analytical modelling.

Wood-induced corrosion on steel plates embedded in concrete
The issue of wood-induced corrosion on concrete embedded steel plates is important for nuclear power plants, as it can potentially lead to structural integrity problems. This laboratory study aimed to investigate initiation and short-term development of this specific type of corrosion. The report is only available in Swedish with an English summary.
