Implementation investigation and sensitivity study of parameters on rock scour
In a previous project, numerical modeling of scour in rock spillway channels has shown that the coupled CFD-DEM approach could reasonably reproduce the scour process of a single rock block. This project aims to further investigate the sensitivity of different parameters on rock scour and the possible ways forward to implementation.
\u003Cp\u003EIn this project, the effect of different parameters on rock scour will be investigated with the developed CFD-DEM approach. The results will lead to a deeper understanding of how the parameters influence the scour process. In addition, lowering the computational cost of the coupled CFD-DEM model is also essential for prototype-scale simulations and implementation.\u003Cspan\u003E\u00A0\u003C/span\u003E\u003C/p\u003E
