This report is divided into three main chapters:
- A summary of the NDT methods used during the CONMOD project.
- A summary of the predicted potential of the used NDT methods.
- Developments in the used NDT methods.
Non-destructive testing methods are vital to verify the integrity of the containment of a nuclear power plant. A conclusion of the project is that the most promising NDT methods for nuclear applications are ground penetrating radar (GPR), high energy computed radiography (HECR) and multichannel analysis of surface waves (MASW).
