Polymers in nuclear applications 2025

Polymers in nuclear applications is the meeting place for industry professionals where results from ongoing R&D projects is presented, and speakers from nuclear power plants, suppliers, consultants, and researchers contribute with presentations.

To increase and transfer knowledge about polymers in nuclear applications is considered very important for the industry.

Our annual meetings act as a platform for spreading and increasing competence among all participants: research institutes, universities, license holders, authorities, and manufacturers.

On March 4th, we gathered to learn more about these materials and what the next steps for the industry could be, networked with colleagues, experts, and professionals working with maintenance and design in the nuclear sector.

About Energiforsk's programme Polymeric materials in nuclear applications

Energiforsk, together with the Swedish and Finnish nuclear power producers, has formed a research programme to work jointly to research on safe long-term use of polymer components and improve their ageing management. Assessing the lifespan of polymeric material more accurately is important for nuclear power plants to maintain safety and high reliability as the fleet gets older. Read more here.
