Energiforsk, together with the Swedish and Finnish nuclear power producers, has formed a research programme to work jointly to research on safe long-term use of polymer components and improve their ageing management. Assessing the lifespan of polymeric material more accurately is important for nuclear power plants to maintain safety and high reliability as the fleet gets older.
To increase and transfer knowledge is considered very important for the industry. Our annual meetings act as a platform where competence is spread and increased among all participants; research institutes, universities, license holders, authorities, and manufacturers.
