Vibrations in nuclear applications 2021

Welcome to the annual seminar of the Energiforsk research program Vibrations. During the seminar, we will present results from recent research projects on vibrations in nuclear applications. We would also like to invite other organizations and researchers to present interesting results on vibrations in nuclear applications.

The Vibrations R&D program aims at reducing vibration problems in nuclear power plants. This is obtained through an increased knowledge on measurement, analysis and mitigation of vibrations in key components in the nuclear power plant. Our focus areas are:

  1. Digitalized vibration management
  2. Technical challenges
  3. Implementation and knowledge transfer

Call for presentations

Most welcome to submit a presentation to the seminar. The presentations should focus on results from projects on for example measurements, modelling, mapping etc. of vibrations in nuclear applications Please describe your presentation in about ½ page and submit the description to Monika Adsten at the latest by the 18th of August.

Confirmed presentations:

  • Vibration measurement pitfalls, Åsa Collet and Jessica Fromell, Efterklang
  • Vibration measurements and strategics in analysing pipe vibration and pipe support damages, Elisabet Blom, Tremula Teknologi
  • Tablet/PC application for detection, investigation, analysis and mitigation of vibration problems, Henri Sjöberg, student and Paul Smeekes, TVO

Price and registration

Participation is free of charge for professionals in the energy industry and for students. Registration will open in August. Contact person for this event is Monika Adsten.
